For children it is better to start with crayons. To understand the skills of watercolours some level of maturity if necessary. Therefore, it is better they become adolescents, because there are many skills in watercolours which young minds cannot fathom.

Children too love watercolors and it's wonderful to see their artwork, the joy they have on their faces is worth it.
