I'd never thought of that aspect. The networking among writers and editors, through submitting and being rejected (failure) is just as important as being published by them on the first try (success). Networking relationships are still built and future publication with those same editors is still absolutely possible with future pieces. Embracing those "failures" is still equal to success. Learning and networking are deep success.
